Recruiting Trip to Russia

Friday, June 9th WA faculty honored underclassmen in a school wide assembly. Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors were awarded with perfect attendance certificates, outstanding performance and most improved certificates in designated subjects. A few students were even honored in multiple classes. The assembly was a great way to end the academic year and kick off the count down to final exams. Congratulations to all award recipients!

"Going into the match, the 9-6 Raiders had all to do against the #1 George Steven's Academy Eagles. We needed three wins to advance to States and we figured if we could start strong by winning a game or two and hold serve we could pull out the first sets in our opening matches. Our first doubles team, Eric Smith and Joey Moore, ended up winning their first set but all of our other matches lost...

As teammates, parents and coaches watched from behind tinted, sound-insulating glass at the Armstrong Tennis Center in Hampden, Maine, players from both schools battled through a long, arduous 2nd set of tennis finals.

I heard nothing but support and praise from both schools, both programs and parents and fans for our players. The entire day was a refreshing and wholesome experience of which everyone was, indeed, proud to be a part.

GSA won three out of the first four matches by capturing all four 2nd sets paralleling their largest accomplishment: reaching the Maine State Finals for numerous years in a row! Congratulations to them and we support them in their campaign's end as they go up against defending State Champs, Waynefleet. Go Eagles!"
