Boarding Tuition & Financial Aid

Residential tuition and fees for a school year are as follows:

Boarding Dorm or Host Home (Tuition, Room, Board & Fees): $49,500

• All textbooks and materials; shared dormitory or homestay; 19 meals per week. 

• All school-sponsored field trips, excursions; school events on campus; secure email account; wireless campus; laptop computer issued for duration of stay. 

• TOEFL test prep, SAT prep, ESL, I-20 prep assistance, visa advice, college visits for upperclassmen, airport transfers on arrival, college placement counseling.

All Inclusive   -   Full Year   -   2 Semesters   =   $49,500

* Excludes health insurance and refundable student account.

Enrollment and Payment of Tuition

A student will be considered enrolled at Washington Academy upon the receipt of a signed contract and a $5,000 non-refundable enrollment deposit. The contract includes the terms and conditions of enrollment and intended payment plan.

All international and domestic boarding students at Washington Academy are eligible for consideration of financial assistance. Financial aid dollars are limited and are given on a first-come first-serve basis, based on need and past academic performance.

 


Financial Aid

Every dollar a parent spends at Washington Academy is an investment in their child, providing them with rigorous academics, unique hands-on learning experiences, and quality teachers who will help shape the future of each student. All these resources combined with WA’s low tuition rate make them one of the best values for education in the country.

Washington Academy offers limited financial aid awarded on the basis of demonstrated need. The amount of the award is determined by the Financial Aid Committee and is based on the following:

• The total financial aid available to the school
• The total number of applicants for financial aid

How to Apply for Financial Aid

U.S. Applicants
• Provide Washington Academy with a letter of request explaining your need for financial aid
• Complete the WA Financial Aid Application and email it to b.gatcomb@raider4life.org.
• Provide WA with a copy of the previous year’s 1040 tax form

Non U.S. Applicants
• Provide Washington Academy with a letter of request explaining your need for financial aid
• Submit proof of income
• Submit a monthly bank statement of balances and deposits
• Complete the WA Financial Aid Application and email it to b.gatcomb@raider4life.org

 

It is expected that all recipients will maintain appropriate levels of good citizenship and academic standing in order to continue in the financial aid program. Washington Academy affirms that we abide by all of the “NAIS Principles of Good Practice for Financial Aid Administration."
