The guidance department has three main focuses for the students at WA: academic advising, career preparation and mental health advocacy.

Valerie Renshaw and Stephanie Seeley are the Guidance Counselors at Washington Academy. Their primary duties include academic and post-secondary advising, crisis counseling, and student advocacy. Joanne Ausprey, College Placement Specialist, is an additional contact for students during the college and university application process. Junia Lehman, Guidance Office Manager and Registrar, is the main contact for questions pertaining to grades and permanent records.

Tutoring is available through our National Honor Society to any student. Please contact the Guidance Office directly to schedule.
