Congratulations! Making the decision to send your child to Washington Academy is the first step in the right direction. New Student Orientation will be a great time for your child to make new friends, meet their teachers, and ask questions.

A little overwhelmed? Don’t worry…it’s normal. A new school can be stressful for students and their families, especially when they come from smaller community schools. Your student will be paired with an upper-class mentor who will give your child the inside scoop on classes, sports teams, extra-curricular activities, and academics.

And while graduation is still a few years away, it’s never too early for your child to start thinking about what they’d like to do after their time at WA. Make sure your student is taking challenging classes and getting involved in after school activities.
