Whether you are new to the area or a local student who is looking at attending Washington Academy, our faculty and staff are here to help. Making the transition to high school is often overwhelming and a little scary for most students. WA goes above and beyond to make the transition as smooth as possible.
WA works closely with local schools to schedule information sessions as well as school tours for interested 8th graders. A private school tour for you and your parents can be arranged by contacting our Admissions Office at (207) 255-8301 ext. 210 or by email.
Each spring, WA invites incoming freshmen to WA to meet their teachers and advisors, learn about fall sports, and make new friends. It’s a great way to experience a day in the life of a WA student.
Held in the summer before school starts, freshman orientation is a great way for you to meet your teachers, find out where your classes will be held, where your locker is (and how to open it!), and make new friends.
If you live in the following towns you have the choice of where to attend high school:

Don’t live in one of these towns but still want to come to WA? Scholarships for local students whose towns do not have a choice of high school are available.
