Add Lunch MoneyCheck Grades
Summer at WA August 1-26, 2011

Washington Academy’s Summer English Language Institute is for non-native English speakers, age 13 to 19, who want to improve their English skills. All levels of English ability are welcome and students will be assessed upon their arrival. Master’s level instructors will create a personalized learning plan for each student and provide the appropriate coursework.

Along with classes in English Immersion and American Culture, students will participate in a variety of outdoor and cultural activities such as visits to museums, kayaking, whale watching on the Atlantic Ocean, hiking, and lobster fishing.

The advantages are numerous:

  • You will not be required to take the TOEFL or SLEP for admission
  • You will make friends, meet the faculty and get to know the area ahead of other students who attend in the fall
  • You will be better prepared to take academic courses
  • You will receive 1 credit toward graduation requirements
  • You will be admitted to Washington Academy after successfully completing the Summer English Language Experience

For questions, contact Robin Moloff-Gautier in Admissions by calling (207) 255-8301 ex. 209 or by email.
