Add Lunch MoneyCheck Grades
Summer at WA July 30-August 24, 2012

Washington Academy's Summer English Language Experience is for students ages 13-19, or those in grades 9-12, who want to improve their English skills. All levels of English ability are welcome and students will be assessed upon their arrival. Based on the faculty's assessment of each student, our instructors will create a personalized learning plan for each student and provide the appropriate coursework.

Along with classes in English Immersion and American Culture, students will participate in a variety of outdoor and cultural activities such as visits to museums, kayaking, whale watching on the Atlantic Ocean, hiking, and lobster fishing.

The advantages are numerous:

  • You will be able to practice your English while enjoying the Maine Outdoors.
  • You will make friends, meet the faculty and get to know the area ahead of other students who attend in the fall.
  • You will be better prepared to take academic courses.
  • You will receive 1 English credit toward graduation requirements.
  • After successfully completing the Summer English Language Experience, your application for Fall enrollment will be given priority.
